In command of container vessels operating around the Northern Territory coast and South East Asia. One years leave of absence as Chief Officer on the “South Australia” topsail schooner “re-enacting” the First Fleet for Australia’s bi-centennial.

Department of Aboriginal Affairs

Administrator / Project Manager at Ngukurr, Northern Territory with a population of 1,200 of which he employed 150. Duties included the daily running of the settlement, managing various projects - fishing vessels, housing, out stations, workshop, power house and budgeting.

Northern Territory Police Force

Constable First Class, stationed in Darwin and Katherine including Officer in charge of one man police station at Roper Bar for 2½ years. Involved in design, construction and operation of police watercraft including introductory lecturing to new applicants on basic seamanship skills.

Served as Senior Second Mate and Chief Mate on general cargo and passenger vessels.

British India Steam Navigation Company (London)

Completed deck apprenticeship and served on numerous vessels, i.e. passenger, tankers including product tankers and cargo vessels.

Constantinos

Arrange and conduct a joint diving survey of vessel grounding damage.
Southern Express Investigation into grounding.
Sun Vista Liased with Department of Environment and Marine Department, Malaysia, regarding oil pollution control including liaising between salvors and the P&I Club on sealing the hull to prevent leakage.
Kota Indah Investigation into damage to sub sea power cables caused by alleged dragging anchor. Organizing an underwater inspection of the damage.

Asahi Hope Attended vessel aground - Saklin Island, Russia – SCOPIC
